Workshop summary: The 3-day workshop focused on exploring how sharing practices can contribute to rejuvenating the 751 District, a left-over industrial park in the outskirt of the Beijing. In the forum, Director of the 751 District, Ms Yan Mingdan provided the students with a comprehensive picture of the history and recent development of 751 District, and Associate Professor Long Ying introduced how open-source urban data can be collected and applied to supporting and augmenting design investigation. Students from NUS and Tsinghua University worked together in small groups, exploring the topic from seven perspective of sharing, namely sharing living, sharing work, sharing infrastructure, sharing leisure, sharing heritage, sharing transport and sharing border.
