Workshop summary: This workshop firstly features a public forum, themed Sharing Economy and Urban Regeneration. Four speakers, Jeffrey Chan Kok Hui, assistant professor from the Department of Architecture, NUS, Rand Chan, Principal of ZArch, Zhao Xing, Director from Beijing Municipal Institute of City Planning and Design, and Gao Wenxin, Principal of W-Studio shared their insights on how the Sharing Economy may create new opportunities for urban regeneration and associated ethical issues and potential threats. Secondly, a full-day cross review was conducted, whereby students of both universities presented, exchanged and critiqued their final design schemes at the end of the semester. Intensive discussions were carried out among students, reflecting on the studio experience and collaboration and their design investigations.
