2017 Sharing City Workshop 2

Workshop summary: The workshop explored how to accommodate and facilitate emerging sharing practices in Joo Chiat, a historical neighbourhood and Jurong East, the future sub-CBD of Singapore respectively. In the forum, Professor Heng Chye Kiang, Former Dean of School of Design and Environment, NUS, Professor Jurgen Rosemann, Director of Master of Urban Planning programme at the Department of Architecture, NUS, and Randy Chan, Principal of ZArch shared their work on how sharing practices can be incorporated and utilised to produce equitable housing. Following the format of design investigation of the first workshop, eight themes of sharing were inherited in this workshop to structure the design charrette.
